Temporary United States phone number for SMS

How it works

1. Create an account and add credit with a card. Packs start at $2.
2. Pick United States and how many hours you need, from 1 to 48.
3. Use the number wherever you need it. Incoming texts appear in your inbox within seconds, and codes can be copied in one tap.

United States virtual numbers without the hassle

Whether you call it a temporary United States number, a disposable United States number or a number to receive SMS online in the United States, it works the same way. You get a real +1 number from a local carrier, your texts arrive in a private inbox, and the number is yours until your rental ends. Free receive SMS sites show every message to everyone, while yours stay private.

People rent United States numbers to keep their personal number off marketplaces and classifieds, to receive a one time code for their own account, to stay reachable while travelling, or to test SMS flows in their own apps.

Good to know

• Numbers receive SMS only. Sending texts and calls are not supported.
• You can extend a rental at any time, up to 48 hours in total.
• Numbers are reused after a cooldown, so don't use one for accounts you need to keep or recover.
• GimmeSMS is for privacy and testing. Bulk account creation, fraud and spam are not allowed.
